Brighten Up Your Bedroom in a Weekend

bedroom style

Summer is in full swing and we’re all enjoying the soft sunshine, lazy evening bbqs and weekends spent at the beach. We’ve been inspired by our beautifully British summer with this guide to brightening up your bedroom in a weekend.

Keep it simple

We want to spend as much time outside as possible, so let’s focus on  breathing new life into your bedroom in a weekend, not a complete overhaul. With this kind of transformation, it’s important to prioritise the little changes instead of getting carried away with a project that will drag on for a number of weeks.

Switch up your colour scheme

A simple way to renovate your room without pushing the boat out too far is painting. “Painting!?” – you shout, “are they mad?” – hear us out. You don’t need to go all out; by creating a feature wall you’ll get a pop of fresh colour with minimal effort. To make things even simpler, you could opt for covering a wall with Visions Wallpaper – it has a unique backing that doesn’t expand when it’s wet, so you can just paste it onto your wall.

Out with the old

Big up your bed

For finishing touches, dress the bed in a new bed linen set. If you want to inject some cosiness into the room, invest in a couple of chunky bed cushions and a luxury throw.
